I planned it as a result of a calm and sober assessment of the political situation that had arisen after many years of tyranny, exploitation, and oppression of my people by the Whites.įriends, Comrades and fellow South Africans. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony and with equal opportunities.
